You can apply for a CELTA course on-line (please, read the terms and conditions below and type in your name to get access to the online application form) or download the Word version of the application form and send it by e-mail.
I understand that the Centre cannot reserve a place on the CELTA
course until the deposit has been paid. Deposits cannot be transferred
(either to another course or candidate), or refunded under any
circumstances.
The balance of the fees must be paid at least four weeks before
the start of the CELTA course. If you have not paid your fees by that date
you may lose your place.
In the case of cancellations made later than four weeks before the
start of the CELTA course, requests for refunds can only be considered if we
are able to fill the place at short notice. The deposit is not refundable.
In the event of a course being cancelled all course fees will be
refunded.
I am aware that I am expected to attend the whole course as CELTA
is a course-based award. Absence from the course or inappropriate attitude
to it may jeopardize my chances of successfully meeting the assessment
criteria.
I understand that the course is extremely demanding, and that a
considerable amount of work will be required of me outside of the regularly
scheduled contact hours.
I understand that it is possible to receive a 'fail' result. If I
am given a 'fail' result, I understand that I may request, via the center,
that a complete clerical check is undertaken by the Cambridge ESOL Centre
Authorisation Certificate within 6 weeks after the dispatch of the result by
the centre, but the course fees will not be reimbursed for reasons related
to my grade.
I understand that if I decide to withdraw from the course at any
time for whatever reason, I must do so in writing and BKC-International
House will not refund fees or offer me a place on a subsequent course
without payment of further fees.
In the event that a course participant is accepted on the course
following an interview but is later deemed to be unacceptable for the
teacher training course, BKC-IH reserves the right to remove the candidate
from the course and refund the course fees (exclusive of the Cambridge
registration fee and any travel or living expenses incurred and school's
resource materials involved) and deny access to further training on that
course. BKC-IH reserves the right to do this only before 50% of the course
has been completed, after which the course participant will not be asked to
leave the programme except in cases of gross misconduct. The decision lies
with the Course Tutors and DOS Teacher Training.
In cases of gross misconduct (inappropriate behaviour towards
students, teachers, trainers, or administrative staff, such as verbal abuse,
threatening behaviour, sexual harassment, racial remarks) BKC-IH reserves
the right to remove the candidate from the course and the course fee will
not be refunded.
I understand that if during the process of training on the course I
realize that I have wrongly interpreted the pre-course information given to
me in the written leaflet and the pre-course interview, and based on that I
decide to withdraw from the course, the course fee is not refundable.
I understand that if I decide to withdraw from the course at any
time the accommodation fees will not be refunded as BKC-IH sublets
accommodation on my behalf in advance.
The Management is not responsible for objects left unattended on the
school premises.
I confirm that all information I have stated about myself in the
application and interview process is true, and that I have disclosed any
information about my health and personal situation that might affect my
ability to complete the course requirements.
I have read, understood and accepted the above conditions.
